Ok, bulan ni cuti kita banyak kan....3 minggu cuti mula Jumaat.

Title : The Blind Side
Directed by John Lee Hancock, Starring - Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Kathy Bates and Quinton Aaron
Synopsis: "The Blind Side" depicts the story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle.

Title : The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
Directed by Mark Hermen, Starring - Asa Butterfield, Jack Scanlon, Rupert Friend...
Synopsis: Young Bruno lives a wealthy lifestyle in prewar Germany along with his mother, elder sister, and SS Commandant father. The family relocates to the countryside where his father is assigned to take command a prison camp. A few days later, Bruno befriends another youth, strangely dressed in striped pajamas, named Shmuel who lives behind an electrified fence. Bruno will soon find out that he is not permitted to befriend his new friend as he is a Jew, and that the neighboring yard is actually a prison camp for Jews awaiting extermination.
My comment: phewwwwww....cerita yang sangat deep...tak banyak dialog tapi sangat banyak makna...tak banyak mimik muka tapi sangat mudah difahami...cerita yang sangat sedih walaupun hakikatnya cerita ni aku kira antara usaha orang Yahudi untuk mengingatkan kita yang bangsa diaorang dizalimi dengan kejam dulu dan kita kena sayang diaorang....piiiiii lah mampus...ok..berbalik pada movie tu...dah lah..malas aku nak cerita...korang tengoklah sendiri...tapi Inglorious Bastards lakonan Brad Pitt tu tak payah tengok pun takper..boring nak mampos...Quentin Tarantino ker tak ker...I don't care..cerita tak sedap tetap tak sedap walaupun pengarah hebat...bagi aku lah..hehe...utk TBITSP aku bagi *****

Title: Cheri
Directed by Stephen Frears, Starring - Michelle Pfeiffer, Rupert Friend, Kathy Bates
Synopsis: During France's belle époque before World War I, elegant cars, mansions, and servants defined the lives of les grandes horizontals, the courtesans of kings and millionaires. One of the most successful, Lea de Lonval, is approaching a certain age when an older associate, Charlotte Peloux, asks Lea to take on her 19 year old son, whom Lea has called Chéri since he was a child. They become lovers and, to their surprise, the relationship lasts six years. When it ends abruptly with a marriage his mother arranges to the daughter of another courtesan, Lea finds herself miserable. Has she fallen in love? If so, do she -- and Chéri - have any choices?
My comment: I like Michelle Pfeiffer, she is so sexy walaupun dah semakin tua.

Title: Coco Chanel
Directed by Christian Duguay, Starring - Barbora Bobulova, Shirley McLain
Synopsis: "Coco Chanel" is the rags-to-riches tale charting the rise of one of the most influential fashion icons of the 20th century. From her humble childhood in a French orphanage, through her early days as a young dressmaker's assistant, to her passionate and tragic love with a dashing Englishman, and ultimately to her success as a pioneering icon, "Coco Chanel" is the story of a glamorous woman who was hard to love and harder to ignore.
My comment: Another autobiography of one extraordinary woman. A fashion icon until now and how she strived to the peak. Kalau tak...mungkin susah jugak nak mengembangkan bakat dia tu.

Title: Julie & Julia
Directed by : Nora Ephron, Starring - Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci, Chris Messina
Synopsis: In 1949, Julia Child's is in Paris, the wife of a diplomat, wondering how to spend her days. She tries hat making, bridge, and then cooking lessons at Cordon Bleu. It's there she discovers her passion. In 2002, Julie Powell, underemployed and a failed novelist, about to turn 30, decides to cook her way through "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in a year and to blog about it. These stories intertwine of two women learning to cook and finding success. Sympathetic, loving husbands support them both, and friendships, too, add zest.
Two true stories combined in one film. A genius move...I love it sooooo much...2nd film yang aku tengok gabungan Meryl Streep and Amy Adams after Doubt. Nice to see how they shifted their personality in this movie. This is the first major motion picture based on a blog. Hey you bloggers out there, go and find this movie. Aku bagi full *****
Title: Seraphine
Directed by: Martin Provost, Starring - Yolande Moreau, Ulrich Tukur
Synopsis: Based on the life of a French painter Seraphine de Senlis. In 1914, Wilhelm Uhde, a famous German art collector, rents an apartment in the town of Senlis, forty kilometers away from Paris, in order to write and to take a rest from the hectic life he has been living in the capital. The cleaning lady is a rather rough-and-ready forty-year-old woman who is the laughing stock of others. One day, Wilhelm who has been invited by his landlady, notices a small painting lying about in her living room. He is stunned to learn that the artist is no other than Séraphine.
My comment: (ini french movie yer, so dlm bahasa perancis ler...tapi ada subtitle). The actress...I tell you....memang dahsyat lah. Memang superb acting, tak cantik tapi lakonan...perghhhhh....memang aku salute toing toing. Menang Best Actress kat France okeh...jangan main-main. Filem ni pun menang Best Film selain Best Cinematography and other 16 awards in various countries. Cerita dia memang agak slow dan org cakap 'deep' lah..dah tu...citer pun pasal seni, filemnya pun penuh berseni lah. Aku suka lah Martin Provost ni...ermm...pengarah bagus ek dia ni...Aku bagi full *****
Last Tango in Paris...........tak payah tengok pun takper......value dari segi nilai moral, hancus...Tapi dari segi nilai perfileman mungkin banyak lah kot value nya...Aku ingatkan kalau Marlon Brando best lah kot movienya...yerlah..aku bayangkan The Godfather kan lagipun dia kan antara The Greatest Movie Actor of all time. Tetiba..ek eleh.......fantasy Bernardo Bertolucci (pengarahnya) yang difilem kan...si Maria Schneider pun satu...yang hang pi berlakon citer macam tu awatnya....dah tu bertahun kemudian baru nak cakap yang dia rasa umpama dirogol... years and years too late lah Maria oooiiii....But still, Its one movie that one should know if you really like movies....and at least I've seen it. MY point of view not you but me...
